This course is designed to introduce the theory and concepts of pharmacogenetics, pharmacogenomics, and precision medicine. The course will provide the student learner broad knowledge for advanced integrated therapeutic strategy based on a patient's genetic information. The learner will develop expertise in informed patient care by selecting the proper drug, dose, and/or dosage form for a specific patient care based on personalized data and pharmacogenomic information. This course offers a platform for shaping next-generation pharmacists into an era of precision medicine.
