MET 44500: Applied Projects In Metalcasting

Students will learn and do metalcasting from concept to product. Students design all elements of a casting system, optimize a casting process through simulation, fabricate a pattern, prepare sand, make a mold, and pour metal to generate a cast product. Students will also learn casting defect fundamentals. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer.
