This course deals with the planning for capstone projects. Methods to develop engineering requirements to meet project needs and formal design techniques are studied. Planning and design alternatives to meet cost, performance, and user-interface goals are emphasized. System tests and measurements are considered. Project planning, scheduling, and management techniques are studied. Different design approaches are compared. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer.
